Folk Costume Museum in Žinkovice

This is the only private exhibition of folk costumes in the Pilsen Region. On display are 40 costumes from a variety of local communities. This includes the Upper and Lower Chod regions, Postřekov, Mrákov, Kasejovice ,Blatná, the Pilsen area, Chotíkov, Litice, Plasy, Kralovice, and Chotěšov. In addition, the display includes 20+ period garments and uniforms worn in the castles of Zelená Hora, Žinkovy, Újezd, and Lnáře.

Other notable displays include a church costume for a married woman, women’s wedding costumes from several regions, women’s festive winter, Advent and Easter costumes, as well as costumes for single and married men. The museum also offers exhibits connected with lost and perishing trades (wheel-makers, waggoners, coopers, basket weavers, etc.).

The museum is located on the Olšovka Heritage Trail dedicated to the study of nature and history.
